Guest That-Guy Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 I know this is a Bug/Quirk of the 2.2 ROMs on the Blade but is there any way to Manually edit the Operator Text/Logo (not sure which it is), maybe even just remove it? Not sure if there was a mod/hack to do this? Just fed up of having "Telefonica O2 UK Limited" plastered across my screen B) Thanks in Advance
Guest That-Guy Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) Just searched inside all files on a 2.2 Rom and found the word "Telefonica" in 2 files: system\etc\apns-conf.xml system\framework\framework-res.apk system\libril-qc-1.so Don't know if this will help? Best way to do it is to find the Operator ID you want (there will a lot of entries with Telefonica...) and pad out what you don't want, e.g. 'Telefonica O2 UK Limited, would become 'O2 UK'. So change the 'T' to a space the 'e' to a space etc...and leave/change what you want to see displayed on the lock screen. Then put the phone into airplane mode, use root explorer to replaced your edited libril-qc-1.so for the one that is in /system/lib (again best to just rename the older one rather than overwrite it) and reboot. Once rebooted, toggle the airplane mode back to normal and lock your screen to make sure all is as you want. Edited January 9, 2011 by xzyk
