Stock ROM - stuck on Orange logo on reboot

Hi, I've got a rooted stock ROM on an OLED SF. Today the Twitter widget was playing up sO I turned my phone off and on again. Now it won't get past the Orange logo, even after leaving it on in this state for 3hrs. I hadn't done anything to it beforehand, there was 60% battery and enough internal memory.

I really don't want to get it replaced, as I might end up with a TFT and I've put on a screen protector and sticker over the Orange logo on the battery cover.

There's no Clockwork app on the phone otherwise I'd have tried flashing the ROM.

Any ideas? Even how to hard reset it from power off?

Thanks in advance.

OK- just read about it and you do it via the PC/USB. Will give it a go tomorrow at work, might even try one of the 2.2 ROMS ...

I have two guides in my signature which might help you out.

Good Luck

Cool - so although I didn't want to Froyo my SF until there was a stable release I found that now is as good a time as any, was dead easy and now I have the Jellyfish 2.2 release on there! I backed up my old stock ROM but I doubt it will work again, it would be nice to know what caused the issue though ...

Thanks for all your help!
