Quiet a heavy trick at 7MB! But i guess for some the show off's worth it

it overwrites existing files, so u won't lose a kilobyte)

lgcmn, how you reduce size on system apks?

I noticed you have changed services.jar in latest release compared to 4.008.08 plain version, what you have patched?

Thanks

apks are zipaligned and optipnged, as for the services.jar i modified some smali files to enable transparency in notification bar :(

What is needed to install the Edition.08?... Just flash the 4.008.08.EMEA.VFIT bin and then your rom?... Please enlight me...

fllash the acer bin, install malez recovery 0.6.1 as usual, reboot in recovery, flash t&l .08 and you're done.

Installed the new Gingerbread.08 zip and it works flawlessly. thanks. Just one minor suggestion, the battery percentage text is white on the bright green battery icon is a bit hard to read unless looking extremely closely. A better contrast would be black text... maybe for the next release.

Compared to t&l gingerbread 1.4 and latest CM7 rom how is the performance and feeling?

4.008.08 on A1 with stock kernel is smooth as 4.002.14 with oc kernel @ 883mhz.. Perhaps that's only my feeling not a benchmark....

I just downgraded from CM7-kang with gingerbread (it had too many minor problems for me). This runs almost as fast, but not quite. It's more stable and functional though. I'll stick with this until a better gingerbread comes out.

BTW quadrant scores are irrelevant now that some manufacturers (like Acer) can cheat the scores with 1600 but not noticeably faster in real apps. SmartBench is probably more accurate.

Very good ROM, thank you again.

Just a quick question, I can not find Kernel .08 OC and compatible with the old APP2SD?

Indeed, the Kernel OC V5 of the first page worked perfectly with version .14 but when I activate the old version APP2SD with the t&l .08 I have a boottloop ...

Kiss from France.

ADW or LauncherPro

I personally use ADW

I use Zeam, development stopped, but it's fast and lightweight, with some useful features. I don't think liquid settings is needeed on this ROM since it has built-in sensitivity adjustments (low, medium, & high)

How can I enable vibration with the new .8 version? On the other versions it was enabled by default.

EDIT: After a reboot it worked :( strange

I flashed 0.8 over the most recent BIN 4.008.08 on A1, and flashed OC998 from stock_OC_app2sd_V5.

Everything seems to be OK, though Quadrant score only 890~1011.
