Guest cbrpaul Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) heres what i did with mine also Disable wifi first , as wifi seems to get first priority then go to settings >wireless & network settings>mobile networks>network operators it will search all operators, and select telephoinca o2 then back apage and hit mobile networks, it should then display 3g+ and conect to o2 ( as long as you got a 3g+ mast near you) Remember to turn off mobile networks after though as it stays on !!! Guest Stuart_f Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 It's not something really simple like you are using copy/paste and its adding an extra space somewhere? The number of times I've had issues with extraneous white space in config files is mindnumbing!
Guest heavyduty00 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 i only got O2 - uk not telephoinca o2
Guest heavyduty00 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 oh, i am on sebs de-orangenated rom if that makes a difference?! lol
Guest feckineejit Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) I'm on o2 simplicity text and web, on pay and go. I've got these settings on both my sf's one running sebs deoranged 2.1, and the other sebs deoranged 2.2 and have no problems. I first download APN Backup from the market and delete any apn on the phone. Make a new apn and add: Name:O2 APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk Proxy: Port: Username: payandgo Password: password Server: MMSC: MMS: MMS: MCC: 234 MNC: 10 Authentication type : none APN Type: default Click menu then save, then add this other apn. Name:O2 MMS PREPAY APN: payandgo.o2.co.uk Proxy: Port: Username: payandgo Password: password Server: MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002 MMS Proxy: 193.113.200.195 MMS Port: 8080 MCC: 234 MNC: 10 Authentication type : none APN Type: mms Click menu and save, then click back to homescreen. I then switch the phone of, take the battery out for 10 seconds then replace it and turn on, don't think i need to do that but i do anyway :-) Edited January 4, 2011 by feckineejit
