Guest cartierv Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) Don't ask. This phone has caused me enormous trouble. Nothing has been straight forward with it. I have no idea how specifically I got some super-glue on the friggin screen of all places while I was repairing something else. No reason for it. What's best ? Acetone / Nail Polish remover or will this damage the screen ? Edited January 4, 2011 by cartierv

Acetone / Nail Polish remover or will this damage the screen ? Acetone will likely destroy the screen because it is made of plastic... so acetone will destroy the structure. If your lucky and fast the screen probably will still work but the surface won't be clear.. Best idea is to try tghe nail polish remover first on a piece of acryl glass or something like this... I don't have any idea how to remove it but did you thought about polishing till the super-glue is gone? I mean with display polish ... There is a product called displex here in switzerland....find something similar for your region... this would be the least aggressive method... if it doesn't work I would probably try the nail polish.. and if this fails ... buy a new one;)0000000
Guest cartierv Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Ok done it. Just little very slightly damp (warm water + washing up liquid) plastic dish scourer... the green and yellow foamy ones perfect. phew
