Is my Phone bricked?

Hello,

I just dusted off my old Samsung there and tried to flash a rom using Grand Prix but it failed near the end of flash.

My phone's power button lights up red and charges but when i power on the phone i get a picture with the phone, yellow exclamation mark triangle and pc, i have to pull the battery to power off.

I guess its bricked then?

win7 and wista flash rom problem. please xp to be pc. another rom flash but xp pc. omnia does not run again, the main card is defective. samsung service or phone repair shop can solve this problem.

I think it is defo bricked now.....i only get the red power button lighting up and wont start.

just reflash your omnia with another rom !!no need to synchronise with activ sync !!just try !!! with xp of course

I had a simmilar problem. Try to flash other ROM but in XP mode or use a virtual machine e.g., VMware Workstation and flash your phone under Windows XP. It worked for me I hope it will works for you :D

its still not bricked,if you want to use can still reflash it on windows 7 using the tools, it happen to me once and i still recover it

I forgot i made this post.

I don't know if i should keep trying to fix this or bin it........

My phone has a red power light and if i press reset, the phone's backlight will switch on but the screen is blank, i have used grandprix again and when i press reset on the phone, grandprix will start the first procedure then stop, if i press reset again, grandprix will move onto the next step but nothing is showing on the phone and write will fail at the end.

I am using Win7 but would need to dual boot with xp.....is it worth trying with XP or does my phone sound bricked.

if you plug the charger and the red led turns on, it's not bricked!

to fix this, you can flash using xp or vmware with xp... and don't forget the samsung drivers

try to do a hard reset with the method of pressing 'call' and 'end' keys, if you don't know how to do this, google is your friend!
