Guest shooey Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 OK so I installed a custom ROM using fastboot and clockworkmod etc and it turns out I installed a OLED ROM when my phone is TFT. I followed all the guides and info to check which screen my phone had, but low and behold, despite all the evidence suggesting it was OLED it must be TFT as the problems I am having suggest so. I have two problems: 1) I cant get past the lock screen. The touchscreen is unresponsive. I can only power off the phone by removing the battery. 2) I cannot get back into clockwork mod. I have tried versions 2.5.0.9 (this worked at first when i installed the ROM) and v2.5.1.8. They both do similar things - v2.5.0.9 just flicks quickly between the green android logo and an upside down piece of text (that says android). V2.5.1.8 does the same thing, just quicker. Its almost as if its trying to load clockwork mod but cant? If anyone can jump on MSN/skype/google chat that would be great!

Mine quickly between the green android logo and an upside down piece of text (that says android). then reboots then comes with clockwork mod Tried installing different versions of clockwork (including a re-install) - same problem. I left the phone for about 10 mins but was still doing the same thing.
Guest shooey Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Are you holding the volume down button down long enough? Yes. remember, i managed to install the custom rom previously and was testing the phone (e.g. navigating around it, etc.). The problem only arose when I hit standby.

The simplest recovery mechanism is to run the Hungarian Update - then use the newly installed clockwork to install another ROM. http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...vices-to-512mb/ This will fix the sleeping and blue tint issue you get when you flash on OLED ROM and boot to a TFT device

Guest shooey Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 you disabled pin code on the sim card? give it a try. there was no pin code enabled in the first place.
Guest shooey Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 I just simply CANNOT get my phone into clockworkmod recovery mode! So far i have tried every trick in the book (even StevenHarperUk's hungarian update)! I think its finally time to throw in the towel and take it to my local phone shop to see if they can just get the phone working again... gutted! All that hard work, stress and headache for my phone to end up back normal again. B)
