Guest Motions Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) I know flash isnt possible at the moment, but im shore the cpu would meet the requirements it out performs the galaxy s on quadrant when overclocked, The only thing that stops flash been run on the blade is the cpu. Isnt they anyway you can bypass this into thinking the phone has a better cpu which allows the flash install? Edited January 4, 2011 by Motions

No, an arm6 and 7 are different beasts. Edited January 4, 2011 by Ash_P
Guest Hopelessness Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Also those Quadrant scores were out by a factor of 2.
Guest MrHicks Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Quardrant scores mean naff all. No, an arm6 and 7 are different beasts. Indeed, I believe the quadrant score increase in froyo vs eclaire is mostly down to using stagefright in the h264 decoding tests. Where as the Galaxy S benchmark that the Blade 'beats' is running eclaire and using Open Core for the h264 decoding tests. I bet Flash makes extensive use of the NEON SIMD instruction set in ARMv7 which probably means that Flash will never come to ARMv6 devices.
Guest rayraven Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 (edited) The MSM7227 is no where near the Hummingbird, the problem with the scores is that we were on 2.2, while the Galaxy S was on 2.1 and really crappy samsung's proprietary file system which made it worse. The hummingbird is probably the best 1 GHz mobile proccy out there today. On topic, unless Adobe decides to release flash to ARMv6, we wont get flash. With ARMv9 proccys coming out, i doubt that very much. Besides, seen demos of Nexus S? its browser is sluggish with all those flash ads, maybe it's just me, but i'd rather use a flash free browser. As for stagefright, it's universally broken on 2.2. It's fixed on 2.2.1 Edited January 4, 2011 by rayraven

Link to said thread? I haven't downloaded it it looks like tis just a flash player. Just having the player isn't enough for flash support :)
Guest q123456 Posted July 2, 2011 Report Posted July 2, 2011 (edited) nah just a link for apk. The forum where i've found this is PL, so probably you would not understand a word :) but if you want, here is the orginal thread http://forum.android.com.pl/f200/adobe-flash-player-79392/ Edited July 2, 2011 by q123456

Guest chealsearock Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Google Chrome is the way forward :) Downloading, wonder if it works. will LMHO if it does.
Guest q123456 Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 it does. Maybe not the smoothest run, but still. Folks talks that it needs 2.3 ROM. Not working with opera, but works with stock and dolphin HD
Guest evilbrain Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 Well, I'll be damned, it really DOES work. I actually played some game from armorgames. This is awesome. Take that non-believers.
Guest boss126 Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 what exactly is working, google chrome or flash ?
Guest k0zmic Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 what exactly is working, google chrome or flash ? Flash. After some testing iPlayer doesn't seem to work, YouTube desktop seems too high a bitrate for it to handle (but that's not a surprise) I will try armorgames.
Guest JHdD Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 OMG flash actually works now. It's still a bit buggy and it crashed while loading a video, but it could play a flashgame. I'm on SS so it also works on 2.2, but only in stock browser.
Guest yellowperil Posted July 3, 2011 Report Posted July 3, 2011 (edited) build n106 Installed free dolphin hd from market place ran the apk for flash 10.1 from sd card Plays flash within dolphin, it will appear as a box, tap on box and it loads... Cons its working to a dgree, a page refresh is sometimes needed to get it to show again, page resizing will most likely stop the video, sound continues, same with rotation, still plays sound on the video but not the actual picture. Other notes jwplayer works but shows artifacts and mostly only shows black and white picture, but when it catches up it is actually nearly no sync issue and playback and sound is near 15+ fps a sec, possibly higher making watching video, even in black and white very watchable. Opera latest mobile build will still show flash as a plugin content box and does not run flash. If anyone is interested will post more experiences later.. Final note, this really is pretty impressive, especially for video streaming content, not really bothered about games myself, but get the video artifacts sorted and color, I would be happy as larry. Guest Migun Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 Is that the same version as this? http://www.multiupload.com/17GFDZMIKV I installed from the link above and it works!
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 It works, to an extent... I tried loading a flash game once and the browser closed. the second time my phone rebooted. I'm running CM7. How did this get done? did someone hack it or is it a leak? still its good.
Guest hedgepigdaniel Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 seems to work well with these http://swiffy.googlelabs.com/gallery.html
Guest k0zmic Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 How did this get done? did someone hack it or is it a leak? still its good. I too would like to know.
Guest Chris Banks Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 I would have never believed it, but that link to flash apk works. Flash just about runs using dolphin HD browser on Ginger Stir Fry. Doubt i will use t much, but ill keep it installed unless it results in flash adverts appearing.
Guest k0zmic Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 I just set it on demand so then it only loads Flash stuff when needed.
Guest flshg Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 According to xda-developers forum its a modded version of flash player by chinese developers.
Guest maff91 Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 has anyone tried iplayer app yet? and does anyone know where to download it?
