Guest nedmundo1 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 I'm a relative noob and want to install a larger SD card. Having done a search on this forum, I can't find anything about how to format and transfer the contents of the current SD card. I notice there is a lot said about partitioning and am not sure about why and how this would be done. Would someone be able to post a quick crash course on SD cards and everything a noob may need to know about them?
Guest That-Guy Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Firstly you need a bigger card, this is what I have: http://www.play.com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/9712...-4/product.html You will need connect the card to your computer via Card Reader to copy items from one card to another. Card should come formatted already (or mine did anyway)

I noticed that in the comments on the play page, some folks have said that it isn't really class 4 performance. take it easy! Why not? Sorry but its a bit of an obvious question, it's not like your playing around with different partitions that windows (Or any other OS) can't recognise. It's just simple drag and drop! If I misread and you are worried about android running correctly (Settings and aps stored on the SD) then as long as you haven't installed "A2SD" then simple drag and drop will be fine. (If you don't know what A2SD is then no worries )
