Ok so I just became interested in changing the DPI after seeing Dj_Steve's photos of 1.5.3 and was wondering what do you believe is the optimum DPI setting for a screen of the Dell Streak's size? 160? 180? 240? I liked the 240 dpi but did not like how some graphics were messed up like in the gallery app but everything was so crisp looking.

its all preference, 160 is stock, everything works fine as far as standard android apps go (dialer, messaging, maps, etc) I've used 180/190 and it boosts up the size of most things enough that everything doesn't seem so tiny, but you can still take advantage of the screen size in menu's and whatnot... 240 is great for compatibility with other problematic apps since the Evo4g is stock 240 as is the Nexus One IIRC, most 3.7-4.3" phones are set at 240... 240 on the streak is ridiculously large stuff though.

try different settings out and see what you like.

I tried 140, 180 and 200. I still love the stock 160 most. And I'm 22 years old

I like 200 - 240 for stuff like Navigation but then it makes the Gallery app look weird, like some of the graphics are resized while parts of it arent.

I usually use between 120 and 140. I hate huge buttons. Some things don't work properly but on the whole it all works perfect.

I like 140 best! Guess I like to see more stuff per page! Haven't really tried anything over 160, but maybe I'll give it a shot sometime.

160 seems most stable for me....180/190 feels the best though(even though I am young ) sadly the notification bars interferes in some applications/games...

the notification bars interferes in some applications/games...

so that's what causes that, i didwonder

(old & stupid)

the 'fix' for that is to hide the not bar (either in adw settings or by dragging ur finger up the screen)

I tend to use 140(for sharpness) or 160, but sometimes swap to 240 for the odd game that runs much quicker

Im on 130 (and have been for a while). but then again i use 1900x1200 resolution on a 15.4" monitor...

i like to fit more on the screen, the more the better. all i have is one homescreen with everything on. its all depending on your eyesight and how fancy you want everything to look.
