How to create a ROM??

Hi

Is there a numpty (brief) guide for a noob about how to put together a ROM?? I've had no problems installing a custom ROM onto my SF, but wanted to play a bit further with taking the stock Orange 2.1 ROM and modifying included apps, homescreen etc etc.

Easiest way to start learning is to take an existing rom and open it up and change what's in there. Apps are installed in /system/app so you can remove some, and add your own replacements. You should note that /system is read-only though so some apps won't work correctly installed here.

You can also play with some of the default settings in /system/build.prop

Google is your friend! You could have just as eaily bashed this into google, and then asked on the forum if you encounter any problems.
