JapJelly or FLB-Froyo are currently the best froyo roms, theres been reported issues concerning low battery life with JapJelly but others have reported better battery life... read through the comments on both and pick one that suits you

It's all up to user preference. Flash one, try it for a few minutes, or a few days, then flash another. Repeat until you find one that suits your usage and liking

I'm on Paul's r5a, what's the diff moving to JapJelly?

I'm using FLB-Froyo G2 at the moment, I only flashed it yesterday but it seems to be nice and stable.

If I were you, I would either choose the Jap Jellyfish, or the one i'm using - FLB-Froyo G2.

They are both 2.2, and the most current ROM's yet.

Just don't do what I do and flash a new ROM every few days, because I have to set everything up again, and it's a pain in the arse. I've only had the phone for about 4 days, and I think I've flashed it about 6 times - but I'm just trying to find the ROM that suits me best.

Hope that helps you, once again - Flibblesans Froyo G2, or the Japanese Jellyfish. Flash them both, try them both out, and chose the one you prefer.

quick question , ,

When you flash a new rom in, do you lose all settings, dowloaded apps, contacts, sms mesages , etc , ? and have to manually place them all back in again ?

Also if i do a clockwork backup to sd of my current setup , will this backup include all of the above, so i can revert back to it , if i dont like the new rom ?

thx

You can backup your setting, data and apps with Titanium backup before flashing the new ROM and restore it afterwards.

With the nandroid backup (clockwork) you can indeed revert to the exact state at the time of the backup.

I am using Seb's 2.2 and it is very clean, smooth and fast.

Works great, not had any problems

I have clockwork, so if i do a backup now , install say froyo 2.2 , and dont like it , i can go into clockwork and restore to the exact same as before the froyo 2.2 install ?

Yes.

I use Sebastian404's Froyo because from all of the ROMs it's the cleanest and it has also by far the least reported problems. The battery life is very long, no complaints about high battery usage. I would not say that the JJ is the best because it's too modified and a lot of people complain about high battery consumption or screen freezes and bugs.

Flash the first zip (the ROM) and after the ROM loads restart it once, let it load again, than flash the second file (newest kernel based on the ZTE released source code).
