hi,

the wifi problems ( one being the wifi turning off as soon as the device is in standby and the other having problems to reconnect after standby) are a little bit of a problem, since my messengers wont't work at home (obviously they dont realize the change from wifi to 3g while in standby).

So i am curious if anybody knows a rom that solves one of the problems. I read the hungarian rom helped one person but can anyone confirm this??

(for the second problem iam using blade wifi fix but that doesnt seem to help for the messenger issue)

THANKS

Try these settings.

settings->wireless & networks->wifi settings->press menu choose advanced, set wifi sleep policy to never, press menu button again and choose save, now your back at wifi settings screen turn off network notification.

There are so many problems with the Wi-Fi with the SF that is kind of hard to state a global solution:

My Wi-Fi problems:

- Cannot connect to a 802.1x EAP without building my own wpa_supplicant.conf with the required information to connect to the network

- After creating this file, must restart wi-fi router to be able to connect to the network

- WPA/WPA2 connection is unstable and sometimes I need to restart the router to get a connection

- Connection goes down after full sleep (a workaround seems to exist)

A friend of mine has an old HTC and everything works well.

For me, this is the great Achilles' heel of this phone, I can live well with all the other issues...

Works for me but seems to drain the battery a little quicker!

oh okay i didnt know about all those issues. hopefully zte will bring a rom update or fix some time.

Its a little but sometimes pretty annoying problem.

@ipinho what workarounds for the standby issue do you know about? exept for apps that keep the SF from falling into proper standby? (like "keep wifi alive")

Thanks
