Guest K.Rens Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Hi, In the first section of the following topic: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...and-other-roms/ It states that: Devices that have TFT Screens have the build Number OUK_P729BV1.0.0B08 The Orange salesmen last week when I bought my San Fransisco phone, assured me it was AMOLED. According to the topic http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...online-kitchen/ The B08 version could also be AMOLED My version states OUK_P729BV1.0.0B08 How can I be certain I have TFT/AMOLED? Is there a test for it? Thank you! Edited January 5, 2011 by K.Rens

If you cannot make difference between two things, most probably it is irrelevant, which one is which.

Guest K.Rens Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Thank you for your usefull information. After browsing for one hour on this site, I by accident discovered the following topic: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...n-your-sanfran/ Wasn't found by using my search query. Sorry for asking. I have TFT.
Guest IronDoc Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Press 'em for some free stuff if they guaranteed you OLED.
Guest That-Guy Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Press 'em for some free stuff if they guaranteed you OLED. Trying to prove that the sales guy said that would be almost impossible, but worth a try I guess
Guest Arr Too Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 In the first section of the following topic: http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...and-other-roms/ It states that: Devices that have TFT Screens have the build Number OUK_P729BV1.0.0B08 The Orange UK build number is only useful for deciding whether a screen is definitely OLED: if it's B05 and the display is correct, then it's definitely OLED (and not TFT). If it's B08 then it could be either, but if it's also a White model then it's very likely to be TFT. To add to the possibilities for confusion, there does appear to be two variants (at least) of the TFT screen, with quality differences.

That's why I wrote that answer. for example if you google blade tft or oled or blade tft oled difference or lots of other very trivial questions, you get your answer in around 1 mins.

If you try that, you only find comparison sites, not how to discover what you have just bought. Thank god this forum contains so much information ;-) :-) Problem solved.
