Guest greatjoe Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Hi, I have been reading on this site for the last few days, found it very helpful and easy to use. I have tried a couple of the 2.2 Froyo ROMS, which are all pretty good. But I think i'm just going to stick with a stable ROM now until/if a stable 2.2 ROM is released. I have noticed that the San Fran saps battery like nothing I have ever seen, is there a good 2.1 ROM that is stable and will give me the best possible battery life? Thanks for your help Edited January 5, 2011 by greatjoe
Guest That-Guy Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Having Stagefright and HW Acceleration disabled helps. This is the case with Seb's 2.2 ROM, it is clean, smooth and fast  Been using it for around 4 days and very impressed with it!

I have been running Japanese Jellyfish RSL4 with overclock and whilst it is an excellent ROM, The battery life on my phone now is just not practical, especially as I want to use it as a music player when I go to the gym. (Using doubleTwist music player, I cannot recommend this enough, brilliant app which everyone should have, and it's FREE!) Edited January 5, 2011 by greatjoe
Guest That-Guy Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Have been meaning to try doubleTwist for ages, might give it a go now I have a 16gb Memory Card
Guest greatjoe Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Have been meaning to try doubleTwist for ages, might give it a go now I have a 16gb Memory Card  I have been looking for a simple music player (sort of ipod like), first came across bTunes which I paid for and was ok, but doubleTwist is brilliant (even though it doesn't have EQ settings). You can sync all of your itunes playlists and songs etc. If you get the paid version, you can also get AirSync which allows you to sync songs/playlists over wifi.

Guest triobot Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 If the battery doesn't last as long as you think it does, do the battery wipe with clockwork.
