Guest gamero_m Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) hi guys this is my firts topic and i would like to talk about the browsers, my frits browser was the default one, ofc i was new with this android thing , (comming from symbian) so at the begining was ok for me . but i think is missing something, maybe more speed, or tools, i cant even find the option to switch to desktop mode, adding bookmarks is so complicated or opening, and u have to use back bottom for exit. so i installed Dolphin Browser HD is ok but in our liquid , some times it closes by it self, maybe for the ram or the internal memory (100 mb free btw), and thats pissme off well then i tried SKYFIRE is ok too, but a little slow , infact is slower than dolphin, and maybe for our liquid isnt the best. Firefox !! ..... O_O just after the instalation , my liquid warned me about the internal memory, this app sucks! , i cant even run it in our liquid. well after unistalling the firefox i searched over the market and after a while i found , MIREN BROWSER I love this browser , -is very fast ! -is comfortable , -is very similar to the Chrome of google, -easy to swith to desktop mode -rss support -easy handle bookmarks -quick search option with choices of google , bing or yahoo. -and the principal thing, it runs great on our liquid is smooth and it dont close by it sefl when the ram is full. i thing is perfect for our liquid, so you have to try it, i found a way to move all the bookmarks (including folders) from chrome to miren 1 .- Go to Chrome settings/bookmarks manager/organize/export bookmarks and save it with html format. 2.- connect phone with transfer data mode. 3.- copy the file Html to the sd card in the forlder mire_browser/backups and rename it to my favorites.html and delete the others html 4.- unplug the phone from the pc 5.- open miren browser on your phone and go to settings/advance/browser data and click on one key import it will take a long time and if it get stock on "importing data" just w8 a couple of minutes and then kill the program, but dont worry the import will success B) so what do you thing? post your favorite browser and together let's find the perfect for our lovely liquid  Edited January 7, 2011 by gamero_m
Guest kvkun Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Dolphin hd is my main Browser. Dolphin browser mini is perfect for people who dont need add-on. Its really fast, and beautiful. About skyfire... The whole Facebook s*** made me hate it. I 'll try Miren and xscope ! Edited January 5, 2011 by kvkun
Guest uapo7 Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 I moved from dolphin hd to miren few weeks ago, and i have to say, that miren is just awesome. Its so light and fast.
Guest Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Do you think we can copy settings/bookmarks easily enough between all these browsers to try them for a while???
Guest MisfitGeek Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 Nothing about Opera??? When I owned a symbian phone, opera mini was great! What about Charming Browser?? It's from MIUI.

I'm new here but I see you can get an Opera app yes. I've not read much about it either on here or the web and usually a fast browser too on most systems apps eh?!
Guest fischschneehase Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Nothing about Opera??? When I owned a symbian phone, opera mini was great! What about Charming Browser?? It's from MIUI. charming browser = Miren Browser

Guest TheShak Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I use Opera, it's better than stock but can hang sometimes... will try out Miren thanks for the post
Guest studjuice Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 i don't know if it still exists, but Steel used to be a good replacement for the stock browser. Personally I like to just use the CM browser, which is the stock browser + some tweaks
Guest Borkata Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I use Maxthon for a couple of days and I am loving it
Guest Delnar_Ersike Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I used to use Dolphin HD for the plugins, but I didn't like how sluggish it was at times, so I switched back to the stock FroYo browser. But seeing as how I've been hearing a lot of good feedback about the Miren Browser, I think I'll give it a shot. Oh, and I've used both Skyfire and Opera Mini in the past; they're OK, but seeing as how they use their own rendering engine, they can be slowest browsers of the bunch, especially considering the improvements to Gecko in FroYo.
Guest tmp_do Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 only Miren. it unreally fast light smooth and customiseble. no more laggy opera, stupid default browser and clutchers for him, no more heavy monstuoze dolphin and ugly buggy firefox. only sexy Miren!

Guest merirosvo Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 thank you, I use Dolphin HD until now, but is much better now Miren! : D
Guest Intenso74 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) I've always used Dolphin HD, but not anymore! Miren is so much faster and better (looking). Edited January 7, 2011 by Intenso74
Guest Master_T Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I use Skyfire, because videos are much smoother than with that abomination Adobe dares call "Flash Player". But you all made me curious about Miren now, have to check it out.
Guest TheShak Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Thanks gamero_m! I've unistalled Opera now and use Miren, been using this for a few days and it's 10x better than the so called "big" browser companies offerings. Cheers
