Oh the Irony if that was indeed like, the only Blade out there with a stock 2.2 ROM on it or something.

A way to check TFT-ness is to go onto a black screen, like settings, and go in a dark room. If it has a lot of backlight glow, it's TFT. Also, if you turn the brightness all the way down on an OLED one, the screen will go pinkish, apparently

The border test is probably going to be the least subjective and more clear cut!

I really wonder how people have problems identifying. When you see the android during startup, just shield the display with your hand from the light and look at it from the side. You'll clearly notice that the black is not pitch black => TFT.
