Guest ChazW123 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Wow I so hope Honeycomb comes to the Vega
Guest Bobbler Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Soooooo many tablets have been seen so far at CES It's like Netbooks all over again LOL. No doubt we will see Acer come out with a bewildering array of permutations of the same thing with new model numbers/minor spec changes as they did with the Aspires

Guest Ter4a Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) There will be flocks of Honeycomb tablets released in the next few months. Hardware will be more or less the same, with small differences in build ( tegra soc, 5 mp back cam 1-2 mp front, different ram and storage...) I think most important will be the software support, how different companies will port the software and release future updates to enhance compatibility. At the moment most tablets are behind with HD playback and generally in media handling functionalities. this will change, and the company which does the software best, will win the most customers... It will be really interesting when HTC gets into the game... Probably their tablet will be introduced in Barcelona next month @ MWC The Motorola tablet looks like a winner right now. They work really close with Google, and this hopefully means good port of Honeycomb.... Edited January 6, 2011 by Ter4a

Hoping when it arrives it will be all the hype says it is They do look amazing, but there going to be hard to get hold for a while... Maybe even harder than the vega.
Guest rferrett Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 It is the Pixel QI display that really appeals to me about the Adam. Having a s*** hot Android tab, which is also a proper Kindle style eReader would be flipping ace. I must say though I am vaguely skeptical about:- a) If the Pixel QI display is all it is cracked up to be and  Can Notion Ink really deliver lots of these tablets. Spesh as the "big boys" are clearly gonna flood the maket post CES...
Guest cwtaylor Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) So anyone thinking of returning their Vega. Edited January 6, 2011 by cwtaylor
Guest stevesilk51 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) No, will keep my vega, give it to my son, and BTW if you look at the engadget CES review with the pixelq screen on the Adam, in bright las vegas sun, then you will be convinced. http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/05/notion-...-preview-video/ Obtaining the adam may be an issue for those who didn't preorder, time will tell. Guest rferrett Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Well my Vega will do me for the time being. But that video certainly does make it look the business...
Guest remlap Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) Just saw the benchmark test for the Norton Ink Adam and compared it to my Vega. Adam seems to be around 1700 while my Vega can go up to 2250 Adam My Vega with Paul's performance pack Edited January 6, 2011 by remlap

Guest space_cowboy1985 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Id assume its due to all the extra stuff they've put in over the top. At the end of the day track athletes shave there head they dont grow afros .
