Guest lsweeting Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Hi guys, I'm using O2 2.2 and since yesterday my browser closes without warning every time I try to load the full facebook site. The same thing happens in the stock browser and Skyfire. Opera mobile works fine though. Is anyone experiencing the same? Or any advice? I've tried clearing all the browser data, but no luck, I'm reluctant to do a factory reset unless I really have to! Below is the alogcat error report, doesn't mean much to me, but might be useful to someone? Guest m4tt24 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I'm getting this also since yesterday, its only with the facebook site and theres nothing to say its happening, the browser just closes.
Guest fards Posted January 16, 2011 Report Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) I'm getting this as well, I suspect the flash plugin, but I'm not sure why it would just be the facebook page Fairly easy workaround.. extract these to system/lib/ and chmod 644 themArchive.zip Edited January 16, 2011 by fards

Forum noob here :-). I too am having this issue, plus its happening with wikipeadia and now youtube. It must be a flash thing as only hapoened after update. I noticed on another thread that fards had made a code fix for this. Is the above.code fix the same? I am not a programmer but I am savy with directories and file extracts.. Do I need to root my streak with 'superoneclick' and just extract the files to correct directory? i appreciate any help and advice. Charz

Charz You can easily root your device with GingerBreak just install it like any other app. It maybe worth installing / updating adobe flash from the market before trying any of the above. Plus try using a different browser (Miren, Opera Mobile, Dolphin) and doing the above may have some nasty side effects. Also go into settings, applications and clear the browser apps cache / user settings
Guest Harry.Rogers Posted June 9, 2011 Report Posted June 9, 2011 Hi everyone - I'm new here. Excitedly unpacked new Streak yesterday I have found I too have this same issue. Used SuperOneClick to root device and Super Manager to replace the two files in /system/lib (libskia.so and libskiagl.so) But Stock browser / Dolphin / Opera Mini all still crash on the same sites. - which work fine with another Android tablet and Symbian browsers Anyone else any other clues ? Thanks

Guest Harry.Rogers Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 Thanks for the input. I went round the loop again Factory reset Re install Dell official 2.2 (http://mobileupdate.dell.com/PackageProductionLocations/Streak_319_12792_21.pkg) Update Flash to 10.3.185.23 Root with SuperOneClick Replace system/lib/ libskia.so & libskiagl.so Reboot Now seems fine
