Horrible battery life

Hi, I been getting pretty poor battery life lately. I am running this ROM:

For example my battery is at 80%, I then watch two 5 min youtube videos and the battery is at 15%. This is using the lowest screen brightness and volume settins via 3G.

Do I have a duff battery? What settings can I change or things can I do to resolve this?

If it's losing 50% charge in ten minutes, no setting will make any notable difference.

You may want to calibrate your battery history thingy.

I'd return it to standard, see if that improved matters and if it didn't return it to Orange as it is faulty.

Ok, Ill give that guide a try. Thing is when the phone is in sleep mode the battery hardly gets used at all. However, when the phone is in use it sucks the battery bad.

When I was using the Modaco 2.1 ROM (r3), my battery life was pretty bad. Would last a day and I'd have to charge it every night. But since changing to Sebastian404's 2.1 ROM (r7, I think) it's lasting much longer - it lasts nearly 2 days when not using it much
