Guest ololizoz Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Hello. I dumped my ROM, but how do I make it into a flashable ROM?
Guest That-Guy Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 What are you trying to do with it? If its just a backup for you just use ClockWork and Select Backup. You can the Restore this at any time in Clockwork, it saves the Backup to your SD Card.

Yes I know, but I want to release it as an update.zip for people that want to restore their Blade to factory ROM.
Guest Sebastian404 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Yes I know, but I want to release it as an update.zip for people that want to restore their Blade to factory ROM. What's your Build Number? we might already have it: http://android.podtwo.com/roms/stock/
Guest ololizoz Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 What's your Build Number? we might already have it: http://android.podtwo.com/roms/stock/ Yea, I posted mine there, but it isnt a flashable ROM yet. Its the swedish Comviq rom.
Guest xzyk Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Hello. I dumped my ROM, but how do I make it into a flashable ROM? Be careful what you've backed up and if you make it directly available as an update.zip, we may all end up havin some good laughs on your google account !
Guest Sebastian404 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Yea, I posted mine there, but it isnt a flashable ROM yet. Its the swedish Comviq rom. Thats TSE_P729VV1.0.0B01, it is there.....
Guest ololizoz Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Thats TSE_P729VV1.0.0B01, it is there..... Oh, I tought it wasnt uploaded yet. Well.... Forbidden You don't have permission to access /roms/stock/TSE_P729VV1.0.0B01-update_signed.zip on this server.
Guest ololizoz Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Yes, the downloads are down, thats why I wanted to do it on my own. How do i do it?
Guest oh!dougal Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 Yes, the downloads are down, thats why I wanted to do it on my own. How do i do it? Well, rather than getting involved in scripting Clockwork, etc ... I believe that you SHOULD be able to take the Hungarian update, and replace the boot, system and recovery images with your own. That would provide you with a restore-to-original image, rather than a "rom".
Guest Sebastian404 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 somewhere on my list of 'things to do' is write a tutorial/script that will take the output of ROMDUMP and turn it into an update.zip.... I mostly do it manually right now tho

Guest oh!dougal Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) Link? Search? Here's one thread with an image using this technique http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...01-05-oled-tft/ Or you might have noticed the Volcano thread http://android.modaco.com/content/forum/32...01-04-oled-tft/ also using this load method And here's where it all started http://android.modaco.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=1533404 (but see later posts for errata and clarifications!) Plus Steven wrote a guide http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blad...vices-to-512mb/ Plus kallt_kaffe used a tweaked Hungarian update loader to modify partitioning for his definitive 2.1 rom, Swedish Snow (making more space for apps) - plus a second modified version to restore standard partitioning and boot you into Clockwork ... Oh sorry, you asked for just ONE link, didn't you? Anyway, do be sure to verify the md5 checksum on any downloaded image for this technique -- its kinda important that the file is not at all corrupted ... Edited January 6, 2011 by oh!dougal
