Guest Thmz159 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Hi, I'm updating my A1 to 4.002.14 but it's hanging on Change Mode [Download mode -> OS download mode]. Info: Fastboot Succesful. What should I do now? On the screen is 'Do NOT remove USB cable' but it doesn't do anything? I cant press the close button on the Acer tool, is it safe to force close it with task manager?
Guest Dario93 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Is your phone in fastboot mode? (White text on black background). However, DO NOT kill the download tool with taskmanager. If I don't get wrong, in this situation you should unplug and replug the cable from your phone.. but to avoid bricking your device, wait for a reply from a more experienced user :/
Guest Thmz159 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 No its not in fastboot. On the screen there's a warning sign with a small android.
Guest pajn Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 On the screen there's a warning sign with a small android This feels wired. What I can remember should that screen only be in the end of the flashing. Personally I would have replugged the usb cable but because of your screen I can't recommend it (witch I would have done in other cases).
Guest Thmz159 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I had read that you never may unplug your phone while it's not booting or something, I saw that I could close the Acer tool using the taskbar, and I restarted it and in the window came 'needs restoration' and it began falshing again :D It's working alright. I'm so happy that it didn't brick!
Guest Harness Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) No its not in fastboot. On the screen there's a warning sign with a small android. Hit the menu button. Does a recovery menu come up? Edit: Didn't read the whole thread. /noob. Edited January 7, 2011 by Harness
