Stock 2.2, how to upgrade the latest stock version?

I've installed the 'untouched stock 2.2' with fastboot way....all of my early installed programs work properly after the upgarde.

But the fisrt stock 2.2 suffers the "too many redirects" browser error, i wanna upgrade the newest stock version.

I have only the latest stock image in ".pkg format".

Question: what is the way to upgrade my ROM without losing of my previously installed programs? is the "update.pkg from SD card" recovery way good?
