HDMI Dock Expectations

hi guys,

I can't get hmdi output from my streak.

I'm on 318 with tweaks.

question1 - I'm led to believe the that the perf kernel doesn't support hmdi, true/false???

just in case - i put the kernel back to std*

Still no hdmi output

question 2 - how should hdmi mode be selected? I see no menu item for it (except in the music player..) & i'm not prompted for hdmi output when going into gallery, is this correct? (ie what SHOULD happen)

I'm toying with the idea of flashing 319, leaving it completely stock & testing again, but i'd much rather fix my existing build...

which prop / init/ *whatever* files need tweaking to enable hdmi?

i'm still running a tweaked build.prop (Fards one) - is there something here that's preventing hmdi from working?

BTW - i'm testing with a LG tv & the hdmi cable from sky + (although my spare hdmi cable arrived today from ebay...)

can anyone advise me how to get hdmi working?

I realsie its limitations.. i'm NOT asking how to output the whole screen or rockplayer vids etc etc

i just want the std hdmi feature to work

(does anyone know if hdmi std features work in Steve's latest release?)

*in case this is relevant... i did this by pushing the std .ko files & fastboot flashing the std boot.img
