Guest Richard_Arkless Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Richard! Are you there man? I'm flashing your rom right now. Let me give a hit of it. :D Yea im here :P ill add dtapp2sd and superuser to it now and upload the changes to the dropbox, atm I think this shouldnt be released yet not until we get the camera issues ironed out and also these things added Or do you think it should be released now? Edited January 8, 2011 by Richard_Arkless
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Yea im here :D Let me first finish the backup of the current androisd state. And than I'll flash your rom. I think so that the problem wont be only the gralloc.msm7k.so But I really hope so, that this problem can be easy fixed. I'm thinking what if the problem lays buried somewhere deep in the services.jar or core.jar I'll take a look of it now.

Not yet. If you release it without this issue fixed people won't take it seriously, so we should at least try to fix it first.

Ok ive added superuser and dtapp2sd to it and am uploading the changes and will be called b2, I havent tested this so can you confirm
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Not yet. If you release it without this issue fixed people won't take it seriously, so we should at least try to fix it first. Why did you remove the rom? Or you will add the newone?
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Ok ive added superuser and dtapp2sd to it and am uploading the changes and will be called b2, I havent tested this so can you confirm OK Waiting........
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 OK Waiting........ Yea sorry my upload speeds are terrible 6 minutes left
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Yea sorry my upload speeds are terrible 6 minutes left I found that the /sd-ext/ folder is created by init.rc in the kernel. So after I download your rom I'll try to flash the oc kernel. I'm hoping that this will let us use the dta2sd correctly. Also replace the old fingerprint lines with thisones # Do not try to parse ro.build.description or .fingerprint ro.build.description=soju-user 2.3.1 GRH78 85442 release-keys ro.build.fingerprint=google/soju/crespo:2.3.1/GRH78/85442:user/release-keys It'll let us to use the market app and show all of the apps in there. Guest Richard_Arkless Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) bootloop. Doesn't work with the old 691 ockernel so we need to recompile the kernel for 2.3, do you know what needs to be changed to get it booting So dtapp2sd isnt working at all, what about superuser is that working Edited January 8, 2011 by Richard_Arkless

Uploading right now. I hope so that somebody could find the reason for the bootloop. Just to mention the reason is buried somewhere in the framework. As far as I was able to see in the logcat. 24mins left to sync with Richards Dropbox. Edited January 8, 2011 by totiadrenalin

We need tom as well :D, maybe we should contact both see if they want to help, im willing to invite them to the dropbox, they will probably make bigger strides than us EDIT ive emailed tom hopefully he will be interested, where does bigbear hang out these days, the san francisco part? also emailed bigbear and have recieved that cm7 rom, ill take a look at it now from the looks of things the system folder is way too big, maybe if we remove somethings and get it down a bit maybe we will get somewhere Edited January 8, 2011 by Richard_Arkless

Guest Richard_Arkless Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Format data before flashing this rom. got the system down to 90mb and still bootloops on the cool boot animation and I agree that its definitely the framework
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 got the system down to 90mb and still bootloops on the cool boot animation and I agree that its definitely the framework Replace the /framework/framework.jar with the one from your rom. And delete /framework/framework.odex
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 Replace the /framework/framework.jar with the one from your rom. And delete /framework/framework.odex This time it just freezes on the android text screen
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 This time it just freezes on the android text screen Ok. I'll put the original AOSPGinger rom for hero. try to get something working. I'm sorry but I'm so busy at the moment that I can't find where did I put my head! :D
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Ok. I'll put the original AOSPGinger rom for hero. try to get something working. I'm sorry but I'm so busy at the moment that I can't find where did I put my head! :D Richard. Once again in the logcat the bootloop is happening when something is trying to overclock the CPU but the CPU refuse to OVERCLOCK because of the kernel. So we need to find what does force the CPU to overclock, or simply apply the OC in this kernel. Best regards Toti
Guest totiadrenalin Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 Just to let you know! I ain't gonna drop this project. Just yesterday I had so much work that I couldn't work on this project! Sorry! I'll give my best to make it work's!
