Hey guys,

Recently I have noticed my screen twitchs black lines every couple of days or so... its so random and instant I can't get to film it..

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. So far today been using the Vega for 4 hours straight and haven't seen them, but they just look like very thin black lines appearing on the screen for the most milliseconds...

Thanks in advance guys.

I'm glad you raised this, as I have that issue too.The lines are always horizontal (regardless of whether you are using the vega in portrait or landscape). They seem to be about 5mm long and they happen to appear so randomly in freuency (though when it does happen it's location is consistent to the app being used). Again, the frequency seems to be roughly the same as yours. I'm not sure if it's a sign of graphics failure or a software bug.

I think I have also seen white lines - it really depends where it happens. My symptoms do not affect the whole screen but just a small horizontal segment, i.e. on a contrasted area like a button, or url bar. It shows up just after the screen has rendered itself for a split second, other times it renders and stays until you touch a button on the screen.

If anyone else has this please let us know, and if you have knowledge of what's the cause that would be very useful. Thanks.

I think you'll find it's to do with the fact we dont have a kernel source yet, so the lib's pushed from the R5/6 + pp are generic, so we will experience small glitches like this until it's compiled from source.

I get some vertical lines within pictures on the Gallery3D app which I've just re-installed from the xda-developers site. Only seems to happen on the first photo I pick from a folder though not when doing a slideshow or anything. Rather odd :D

So I'm thinking seriously to refund it, but what if the problem is the software? may anyone tell me? only two people have this issue? Is it going to get worse, and ruin the hardware? if there is only two more affected i´m giving it back for sure.

It's a well known software issue, will probably be resolved one day. I've heard that mcr8 fixes it but I'm not using that at the moment.

No, it won't get worse and no, it won't ruin the hardware. It's glitches in the graphics acceleration on NVidia.

Thaks simonta I'm glad to hear that, but, I have MCR8 installed and happens all the time, maybe I shall reinstall it.

It happens on all ROMs I've tried, but not as often in MCR8 (for me at least).

Might give the updated CM7 ROM a try tomorrow to see if it is any better.
