Guest Toxophilite Posted January 8, 2011 Report Posted January 8, 2011 I have been trying unsuccessfully to use the Vega Gallery Slideshow to display jpg photos on a USB stick. Vega has been set to USB Host mode (I'm using MCR R6), and I can access the photos on the stick OK. However it appears that photos would need to be copied from the stick to the sdcard/VegaMedia/Photos folder before they can be viewed in Gallery. This is a problem since the USB stick is a larger capacity than the Vega SD card. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get the slideshow to show the photos directly from the USB stick?

Great - Thanks - I'll give the script a try over the weekend. EDIT: Worked perfectly - many thanks :D BTW would the script work also for playback of video files located on the USB stick? EDIT: Yes - Since tried it myself and and it works fine. If a video file e.g. avi is stored on USB stick in a named folder, then that folder's name is shown in the Gallery. (Useful if the name of the folder is the same as the video or movie title) Edited January 9, 2011 by Toxophilite
