Brand new Streak won't start

Hi there,

I bought a Streak on PAYG from O2 in December. When I tried to start it, the buttons on the right would illuminate but nothing else happened. O2 replaced it and I have just got the new one. With this one, the buttons illuminate and the Dell logo appears on the screen. That's it. I have tried resetting by holding the volume keys down and pressing the power button but all that happens is the buttons on the right illuminate and nothing appears on the screen. I would like to know if there is anything else I can do before this one goes back to O2 and I get my money back.

Any help or advice appreciated.

Lots of people will tell you to install this, change this, install a new rom... IGNORE IT

Take it back to a store, kick up a lil bit of a fuss and get them to replace it with another one and boot it up in store.

Its not worth voiding your warranty if there could be an underlying issue.

IF HOWEVER your nearest store is very far away, and they dont have it in stock, then read all the answers first and after a few days make your decision. if its something simple like pressing a few buttons, try it, but be weary of flashing.

Thanks for that. I've spoken to O2 and it is going back and I'm getting my money back.

Will they not do another exchange?

Or have you given up on the streak?

Unfortunatly these days more and more bits of technology are being shipped before being tested. so theres alot of Dead On Arrivals
