Orange SanFran Root problem

Hi

I rooted my sanfran using Paul's command prompt method. Everything seemed to go well, but it didn't.

For some reason after rooting all the red colour is absent from the display, the orange logo is now blue (which is an improvement). Also after the screen has turned itself off it will not come back on, although the phone is still on as it beeps away quite happily. To get the bluey green screen back I need to remove & reinstall the battery. I subsequently installed clockwork recovery with the intention of changing the rom to something less crap but haven't done so yet as I might not be keeping the phone as it's not very well. I haven't been able to transfer files to the sd card since day 1 (I've tried 2 cards). The screen is a tft. I have also tried resetting defaults.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Paul

Ok thanks for your reply. It was nice of you to take the trouble to respond to a boring issue.

The only problem is if I can't get any files onto the sd card it's going to be a pain flashing new roms. Is this a common problem with the blade?

The only way round this issue I can think of is to put the sd card into another device & then hope the card can at least be read by the blade.

Here are your options:

-use clockworks to mount the sd card

-use a cardreader

-use another device (phone?) to open the sd card and place the files in it

Ok I've sorted the blue tint issue, thanks guys.

Had to transfer the roms to a different device & swap the card over. I've tried 3 cards & cleaned the slot with isopropyl alcohol. Seems to be a common problem too, ah well.

The dog seems to be addicted to mint chew sticks, maybe I'll try them, it might take my mind off sd cards.

Unfortunately now the touch screen doesn't work. It's been a pretty negative experience with this phone.
