Guest rishie Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) Today I was just playing with my OSF blade, and was seeing the top output and found out that /system/bin/port-bridge process is eating up almost 90% average cpu. I tried to kill the process, but it was restarting automatically, so I removed execute permissions for /system/bin/port-bridge, and now the cpu is usage is not more than 5% all the time. Coming to the basic question, what does this process do? are any critical apps dependent on this? Thanks in advance. Edit: I am using Paul's alpha4 ROM. Edit2: After using the mobile for almost 1 hour, and a couple of reboots, I couldnot find any problem, in the functionality, I was using gmail, maps, nominal amount of calls, if someone can throw some info on this binary, may be its useful for rom builders over here...
