Guest tomfrogger Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 (edited) I think i have managed to brick my vega. I tried flashing r5 over r6 as i was getting lots of browser force closes. I know i should have gone back to stock firmware first but i didn't. Now the vega boots and then instantly displays Process System is not responding force close or wait. If you select force close it reboots to the same point. If you wait it sits with a black screen. I've tried replacing the usb driver and installing stock but that tells me its an unknown device and will not flash. If i try flashing r6 again it seems to be unable to copy the .apks to the device (see screenshot). Its got clockwork recovery installed is there a way to boot to recovery by pressing a button on startup? Any help will be much appreciated. Edited January 9, 2011 by tomfrogger

Just follow the full flash instructions for the Advent stock ROM. You haven't bricked it. Top tip. Try to get it into recovery with everything unplugged (I know, it won't) then try again with power and USB plugged in. Otherwise, search for "bricked". Lots of answers already in here. Guest emergant Posted January 9, 2011 Report Posted January 9, 2011 If you're tablet wasn't working before then you'll likely have to just bite the bullett and reflash the advent rom. It is not currently possible to enter recovery without a working os.

If you've backed up with clockwork, it might be possible to take your nandroid backup and modify the stock flash with the files on your scdard to rebuild your system. http://android.modaco.com/content/advent-v...-rom-installer/
