Please could someone from the admin tell me why my post about a headphone problem was closed yesterday. I tried to contact you bay mail but got an error message.

I did not see anything wrong with my question and feel you should explain your actions.

This was my question:

I noticed that when I listen through my headphones (cx 300 II) if the music stops there is a background hiss. My search told me I am not the only one. I thought I would try my ipod touch headphones and found that the sound was low but if I pinched the middle button on the inline remote and held it down the sound was perfect with no hissing. Has anyone found a solution please?

what is wrong?

Regards Greame

But it seems that you wanted to start a new thread rather than add to an existing thread.

There are LOTS of existing threads on this subject too.

iPhone headsets are wired differently. They only work on iPhones (an old Apple habit.)

But an iPhone conversion cable has been found, at a price.

And a cheap Nokia adaptor for headphones works with the SF/Blade.

Please use the search function before starting a new thread on an old subject!

If more people did that, it would be much easier to find the information that matters ...

I trust that the mods will close this thread promptly as well, and that no one else will bother to explain further

I do not know why your post was actually locked as such, but I will look into is as you should have been given an explanation and preferably a link to an existing topic.

Thankyou for your honest answer. As I explained I did use the search function (oh!dougal :P ) so please do not lock this post. I read through a lot of stuff but did not find anyone who said buy this item it will solve the problem. I am sorry if that upsets some people but just to close a topic and say nothing seems a bit harsh to me.

So as I explained I did get some great sound with my ipod headphones but had to keep the button pushed, if someone had a solution ie a link to a converter that has been proven to work I would be very grateful. Ideally i would like to use my cx300II 's but the hiss is very noticable, however again if someone can link me to a solution It would make me enjoy this great little product even more.

Thanks in advance
