Does anyone else have this problem?

When I launch my Google Maps, my GPRS icon launches yet the map puts me nearly a hundred miles away in the Yorkshire Dales (i've never been there).

I'm wondering what is causing this? I did upgrade my blade last month to the FRB froyo rom. Im wondering if this is causing the problem?

The only other thing I can think is that my BT Wireless homehub is giving out incorrect data, this sometimes happens when I look at IP sites on my PC it sometimes says I'm 50 miles away!

I'm not on my pc at the minute so couldn't search properly to see if anyone else has had this issue? (Typing this all on my blade)

Honestly, searching for

GPS Yorkshire

would have been easier, AND saved you starting an unnecessary thread ...

I had the same issue with the original eclair stock rom (putting me repeatedly - but not always - in the capital of Austria instead of my hometown). It seems to work at the moment (having both a current google maps from the market and the jellyfish Froyo).

Are you sure you don't live in Yorkshire?

Err no what would be badword helpful if someone could have just told me. The top search result for "gps Yorkshire " is 80 pages long which is a nightmare to read through on the blade.

I already said in my first post Im on my fone. The people on this forum are sad single geeks. Not coming on here anymore its s*** for helping people :-(

Item 1 --- do you think there's any significance to that thread being dedicated to the specific rom you are using? You probably don't.

Item 2 --- have you noticed the "Other Search Options" link in the Search dialog? Ever wondered what would happen if you searched the Blade Forum for GPS Yorkshire with Show Results as Posts (rather than as Threads) selected? No, probably not ...

Try doing that Google search again, guess what first result is now :D

Disregard that, I'm an idiot

@OP:

I find using the search box at the bottom of the topic list useful for narrowing down topics, then once I've clicked a result using the search box in the same place to search posts just on that topic.
