Here's my story: I got this malata zpad t2 in Japan at a reasonable price. it is by far the most impressive machine I've had. Blazingly fast and quite polished, but like every good noob, set about getting it modified to get gapps and the market working, without doing the proper research and taking the time to understand what i was about to do. So in my ignorance, I started off by rooting it, sucessfully, then went on to install Clockworkmod. that is where things went south, and after probably borking the installation a couple of times by installing probably the wrong version of clockworkmod, and then trying to flash an advent vega version apk to enter recovery, I am unable to enter the recovery mode at all, even using adb reboot recovery. It starts off promising, with the message "Detect a recovery key pressed" then "booting recovery kernel image" but then it just goes black and doesnt do anything.

I guess I should be thankful I'm still able to boot into normal mode, after all that I made the poor machine go tru, but I still have hopes somebody out there will have gone tru the same situation and found a solution that would allow me to find a way to get it into recovery mode, install clockworkmod and get the market/gapps working eventually. Any thoughts?

thanks. it's all a bit over my head, but I'll have a look later. Im thinking about using the advent vega oficial flashing tools to reflash my ztab....im just afraid Ill completely fry it in the process. Ill let it run out of juice first, try to get into recovery once more and if it doesnt work, I mite just do it. Anyone done that?

Wow, you wiped your Vega and flashed a ROM, meant for a different device, ignoring the last post in the thread from November 23rd about somebody screwing up his device?

You must have balls off steel!

Glad to see you recovered the tablet. Zpad and gtab are more alike to eachother than they are to the Vega so this was the better choice. I'm mostly saying this for the benefit of those who follow.
