Guest trevor432990 Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Just tried this site for you and I see that after the first screen has loaded the content for you there is an option on the webpage menu to select 'small screen' did you do that because it might help matters? I tried running it in small and the keyboard popped up as soon as I clicked on the Penguin Name/Password fields no problem. :D

Guest trevor432990 Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Hmmm some strange behaviour happening on this website when you compare the screens side-by-side with a PC you will notice that part of the page (e.g. near the Play Now! button) is not being displayed in the same way as on the Vega it cuts off about 6mm of the button. Apart from the top menu bar on the site the rest of the page content is written using Flash Player code so I suspect a problem there. I presume you are using the browser app which came with the Vega ? If so, I suggest you change to using the Dolphin HD browser which can be downloaded from the Market free. Try again and see if this fixes your problem otherwise you may need to re-install the Flash Player software as described here. Good luck :D

The workoround I found was to long press in the textbox where you want to type, then as well as popping up the input menu it will pop up the keyboard too. Once up it seems to work properly for all other txt boxes you need it for on the same page as well. Hope this helps.
Guest Lennyuk Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Have you tried using a different browser e.g. Miren browser to see if that helps with the way the page is displayed?
Guest Higgsy Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 (edited) you need to select the !small screen option at the top of the page in order for the text boxes to work and then it works for me - what keyboard are you using - I'm using smartkeyboard pro not the standard keyboard Edited January 10, 2011 by Higgsy

Assume you can get the other from the market?
Guest Lennyuk Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Im using whatever the standard is. Assume you can get the other from the market? yeah there are loads of keyboard and browser on the market, not all free Not all the keyboard work well on the large screen but most do Swiftkey or the one mentioned above seem the best 2 options. (swiftkey has a unique way to predict words to save you typing)

Assume you can get the other from the market? yeah smartkeyboard pro is a paid app but only a pound or 2, And it is def working for me as I logged in on my daughters account and works no probs (just remember to select small screen or when you try and type nowt happens), I am actually surprised how well it works as quite a few facebook games - especially the zynga ones are virtually unplayable on the vega. I won't tell ar kid tho or I'll never get a look in, all I hear at the moment is "dad can I have a go on your android tablet" lol Edited January 10, 2011 by Higgsy
