Decided to sell my streak and get a smaller phone

I have been using my streak as my main phone for a while now but its time to get something that fits in my pocket a bit better so am selling my phone, rebel sim card, and otterbox commuter case....

I have gone for a Samsung Galaxy S since they have dropped a little in price and I wouldnt be losing any money by selling my Streak.

And yes I have played around with it a few times as 2 of my friends have them.

I tried that idea when i was a iPhone(y) user.

Trotted off to find a smaller phone.......

....Ended up with a Streak !!!

Tried again.....

....Bought another Streak (Red)

Going to wait till the '7' is available and try for a 'smaller' one again lol

have you considered trying to soilder a cellular modem onto the PCB of a 42" LCD TV? :D

my work phone is a hd2 & it just feels like a toy now i've had the streak, not sure i could go back to a regular sized phone... i originally looked at the tab... but thats a bit big (as phone) & the camera spec is crap

I used to run my iPhone to my 51inch plasma via TVout .app Saying that, I used to use my QL260 TV glasses with iPhone too, shame I cant with my streak (dont have a home dock yet....Tesco have the alarm tags on/in the boxes....jk lol)

I still have my htc hero which I use as a weekend phone if I'm going out.

It feels like a matchbox in my hand and the screen is tiny at 3.2. inches

So far am loving my Galaxy S, and 4" screen is fine for me :D

Just not sure about how to root it yet, etc! Too much to read, giving me a headache.

What is it like compared to the 5 inch streak...i could not resist but to buy a phone which name I will not mention because I have gone back on what I have said before..lol It has a 4 inch screen worried it will seem to small for browsing..

i bought the dock last week (club card vouchers + tesco direct took some of the sting out of the price)

tbh the hdmi is very underwhelming (& i'm being very kind)

i can't get it to work on gallery slide show (not that i care, but its says it shud do it & it doesn't)

video output is limited to mp4 & whatever the native camcorder can capture (at least i've heaps of mp4 stuff from my -missguided- ipod days)

the dock doesn't support usb flash drives (i've ordered a otg mini usb adaptor from ebay, will still need a mount point creating tho methinks)

you can play music via the tv speakers, via hdmi (like your gonna do that)

but in it's defense (& the main reason i bought one) it's musical output to my amp is really good, needing only about 50% of amplification volume than my ipod did to produce loud, rich sound

but i can't stress enough... if anyone buys the dock expecting it to be like a monitor screen for droid then they're gonna be very dispointed

RE stealing from tesco (ahem) then i've (not seriously) considered sniping off the cable they use to power the display streak to make my own otg oem cable, but it's not worth the risk & yet i still can't justify buying a £25 cable just to cut it (n prob fcuk it) up... !!!!

I have only had the phone 1 full day. I have done web browsing, texting and 2hrs of video chat via Fring and honestly can say I don't miss my Streak at all so far. Had to check my pocket 3-4 times before I left work to make sure my phone was in my pocket though!
