Guest dwattsy21 Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 Hi all, Has anybody actually got the DLNA to work? I've tried with several devices, and it is not recognising anything? Cheers, Dave
Guest keef319 Posted January 10, 2011 Report Posted January 10, 2011 It's funny you say that, my TV is now DLNA capable, and I've just been trying to test it with my Desire HD. Problem now is when I open a video or photo on the DHD and go to "Select Player", the only thing on the list is "My Phone". I'm sure that before one of the recent updates there were other options on there!! HTC must've broken it...! :D

I have DLNA working between different boxes but my phone is not able to see any of them :-( /C
Guest dwattsy21 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Hmm how annoying. It should work fine, they have to pay £10,000 for the license to implement the feature! So why not make it right. Sort it out HTC!

So why not make it right. Sort it out HTC! Mine works. Although it aint good for much, I would rather stream movies to my phone. However for that I use UPnPlay, it is really good. Finds it hard streaming MKV, just make sure you have Divx + installed on your PC. If you have 360 as a Media Center Extender it recognises that, whilst on the network it works as a remote control for it which is really cool. Also, selected under MCE I was able to watch as well as control what was playing on the 360. Must use Media Center Extender though. If you have a play around you will get it to work.
Guest Nerds 2 You Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 are you guys connected to your home network via wi-fi?
Guest Subject Delta Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 I tested it by streaming something wirelessly to my PC. It works, but you need to keep windows media player or media center open.
Guest TLCook Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 I have the same issue trying to push media from my phone to my TV or Media Center PC, my phone is connected to my WiFi network and it can see my DLNA server and receive from it but cannot see devices that play media. Odd..?

Odd..? Yea I'm connected to my wifi network. I can play back files from my laptop on my phone, but not from my phone on anything. When I go to do this through the connected media option, and it says select player, it only comes up with my phone!
