Hi,

having just returned home from a run, testing cardio trainer on the san fran (it was chucking it down & even though the phone was in its sock inside my pocket its soaked).

Can anyone recommend a waterproof case that is suitable for the san fran?

I know this isnt a technical question although I figures hat as you lot test thes things to destruction if anyone knows whats best you will. Im happy to move the question elswhere if someone can tell me where best to ask such a question.

Could try looking on ebay for camera waterproofing bags, not sure if you would be able to use it without removing the bag and it would look awful but I'm not sure you're going to get anything much better that is waterproof.

I would think that your best bet would be to just use a re-sealable plastic bag to put the phone in. I've just tried it and the touchscreen still works through the plastic bag. You could even use re-sealable freezer bags although they may be too large.

The was one on ebay some time ago I didn't get it but looked ok or try something from a sailing, surfing or walking shop I have used one from a pound shop it was good tho a little big for the phone but every thing worked fine.

here is a link to thing I think might work well

OverBoard is a good make I have used there dry bags but not for phones

I have never got any thing from that site just showing u the type of thing there are out.

The ones from pound shops work fine but the overboard ones and other makes from walking shops are made from a softer thin plastic maybe nice to work the scree though

I thought about a re-sealable sandwich bag, but of course because the cardio trainer app needs earphones (basically it tells u how fast your going, how far you have gone plus plays music while u run) so because the earphone is attached to the phone the re-sealable bag doesnt work.

I'd never answer the phone or make a phone call while running so I'm not that bothered about using it, as long as I can press the scren to sat 'start workout' & again to say 'stop workout' it will do.

The bags look good but I'm still worried cos of the headphones. But its gonna be better than nothing I would imagine.
