Guest Christoforos22 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 What about liquid A1? Can we increase its available memory?
Guest Master_T Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 What about liquid A1? Can we increase its available memory? The A1 already "sees" all the available memory (256mb)
Guest Borkata Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) :D macau We know you don't worry :P @roggin: Now do some magic and double memory for A1 B) Edited January 11, 2011 by Borkata
Guest fear_factory84 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 The A1 already "sees" all the available memory (256mb) I see 190mb on my A1. Perhaps the missing mbs are reserved by android. Maybe something could be improved..
Guest Ze Mitras Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Nice work! Now Liquid E users may fully enjoy costum ROMs :D
Guest tmp_do Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 We know you don't worry :P is a joke. no credits for me :D roggin damn master
Guest shahru98 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 I see 190mb on my A1. Perhaps the missing mbs are reserved by android. Maybe something could be improved.. if this can be fixed, what a joy to all A1 users..
Guest roggin Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Hi all, I have upload mem fix in : http://www.multiupload.com/VWM68GLRRB If some developers want to take it a try, I am very appreciated :D Thanks.
Guest Harness Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 if this can be fixed, what a joy to all A1 users.. It's taken up by ramdisk and the kernel, etc. Harness.
Guest Thmz159 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 It's taken up by ramdisk and the kernel, etc. Harness. But why isn't that memory seen as total memory? I mean, in windows you just see you have 4 gb of memory, not 3.1 mb because windows takes 900 mb. But I have no experience in android or Linux (except a fast ubuntu try :D) Also, some devices with less RAM as the liquid do have as much free memory. I feel there's room for improvement, only, how?

I mean, in windows you just see you have 4 gb of memory, not 3.1 mb because windows takes 900 mb. But I have no experience in android or Linux (except a fast ubuntu try :P) Also, some devices with less RAM as the liquid do have as much free memory. I feel there's room for improvement, only, how? Well, there's something similar in Windows instead. I've recently bought a 1TB hard disk and when I went to format with NTFS, 133mb are auto-gone (but it's far less than the 190\256 rapport) :D

Available memory is different from physical memory. The liquid A1 has 256mb of physical memory but some of it is reserved by the hardware, the ramdisk, ecc... This happens in windows too, it's just that you never noticed it before because considering the amount of memory a computer has the amount "stolen" is trivial, but it is there, in fact here's a screen I just took: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Edited January 11, 2011 by Master_T
Guest roggin Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 424?? why not 512?? Hi Morris, :D Yeah, If this stable, maybe more available ram is possible :P Thanks.
