Custom Rom, but which one!

Hello,

Sorry to post a stupid question, but i'm a bit thick when it comes to this sort of thing. After talking to a mate at work, he said I should put 2.2 on my liquid. I've had a look round here and on the web and was just wondering if there are any recomendations on what to go for.

I worried about damaging my phone or having bug's etc. Are there any recomendations for a hassle free upgrade to froyo, or would I be best sticking with acers eclair rom....?

Many Thanks,

Daz

I've used every single custom rom in search for stability and speed.. I reccomend you download LCR-E with the overclocked kernel. On my A1, it's the fastest rom, fully functional with no bugs and perfect battery consumption!

It was a shame I didn't find it any sooner. I was obsessed with 2.2 as well with no actual reason.. Some other users may find huge differences because of the technical knowledge, but me as an everyday user don't find any.. LCR-E comes complete with flash and rooted It gave new life to my liquid. :D

Thanks for the feedback guy's. I've put the latest 2.2 Rom on (Didn't see Cuben's post until it was too late). I am having serious problems with it though. Keeps Crashing, can't set up google sync as my password has numbers in it and it won't let me input numbers. Also menu/home/back key's don't seem to be working normally.

I have put the latest 2.1 rom on the SD card but can't get it back into recovery mode..... It's going to be a long night......

Thanks,

Darren

Remember to flash the 2.1 bin with the Acer tool if you are going to try out the LCR-E one! :D

I recommend T&L ROM. It's very lite, stable and have abundance of internal memory!

I like Roggin's CM6.1 a lot, I've used LCR and MIUI too, but I think Roggin's CM6.1 has best perfomance/battery :D

Thanks for all the feedback.

Sorry for the late reply, been away with work......

I managed to sort it, I have Acer_LiquidE_4.504b.00_EMEA_GEN1 on it.... Seems to work really well, better than before, my phone hasn't crashed like it used to on the Acer on, and I now seem to be (just) getting reception at home.

Thanks.

Darren
