Logcat and DDMS issues

Hi,

I've come from the HTC Dream - onto the blade, and mostly - It's rather good! however, a slight problem I'm encountering.

When Using DDMS - only 1-3 processes show up. Gtask, Rom Manager, and Uploader normally.

Any idea how I can get this fixed?

also - logcat seems a bit... mad?

Logcat aint such a problem as I can just filter it really - but still?

Also - I have to run the ADB server as root to connect to my blade?

If anyone has any idea whats going on - I'm all ears :P (Or Eyes - in this case :D )

I am currently running JJ6 - been through quite a few roms though (err, all froyo though - never used eclair)
