Guest sukh singh Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Well had the streak for quite a while now..in fact very long for my standards..dont like keeping phones for too long due to getting bored easily. Normally I jump from operating system to operating system but untill Meego phones are out I have stuck with android..BUT I have gone and bought a Nexus S :D Iv always hated samsung but always loved the idea of having a "google" phone and since the nexus ones are not that cheap yet thpught I would get one and it arrived today. Will do a comparison on youtube or something after it charged and fully loaded but out of the box I would say it is VERY smooth and fluid...Much quicker than the dell streak ever was untill Dj Steve arrived. Just in two minds on if I should keep the Streak or sell it..
Guest twe Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 sounds good, although I got the Galaxy S as that way I save a bit of money. I think as a phone it works out much better and I guess my usage has changed. Most websites I visit have a mobile version which does its job well anyway on a smaller 4" screen so thats why I won't miss my Streak. Oh and no odd comments like "Woah thats a big phone" by random strangers.

Just in two minds on if I should keep the Streak or sell it.. I was using an iPhone 4 before the Streak and I only considered Streak and the Nexus S as possible targets. Streak's screen size won me over not to mention I dont like Samsung. And that plastic back was a deal breaker for me. Reminded me too much of the iPhone 3G/GS. And I havent regretted my decision. Thanks to DJ Steve :D
Guest sukh singh Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 I only ever got the first ever iPhone which was EDGE only lol..never gone back after that.. I was put off the whole plastic thing but when you physically have the phone it does not seem to bad on the nexus s? I dont know why.. Saying that it is a VERY light phone which to some people is a plus to others makes it feel cheap..Im liking the one handing texting on the nexus s compared to the dell streak... Plus with the streak you could never just pull out and text quickly and put it back while at work..would always get caught :D
Guest DMax99 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Just wondering, why is Samsung so bad?
Guest TheSacredSoul Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Just wondering, why is Samsung so bad? I dont know... Its just a personal thing I guess. I've used loads of phones from O2 to Dopod to HTC to all 4 iPhones. But I never liked a Samsung although I know quite a few people who swear by their Galaxies :D
Guest sukh singh Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Just wondering, why is Samsung so bad? "I've got the new google phone the nexus s".... "Its a Samsung Mate" :D It just sounds weird and I HATE they have put samsung on the back in bold letters=(

Guest sukh singh Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 My experience with my ex Samsung Galaxy S: Broken promises No support Poor GPS function Calls just disconnecting after 3-5min Cheap construction Weak screens LAG more LAG and even MORE LAG ..... I could keep on going on and on and on and... Most of them things are down to it being a samsung phone not a google phone.. Support, lag, broken promises etc will not be a issue I can bet my life on it. Just look at the old nexus one..Always had updates and there is so much of a community for the nexus phones custom roms come daily...
Guest twe Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Yeh I think it was people jumping straight into a new phone, the support wasn't there and people got frustrated. I guess similar to the official Dell update from 1.6 to 2.1-2.2 that was a very long wait too. Anyway am happy with my Galaxy S on official 2.2.1, and yes I applied the lagfix to it and rooted it.
