1) Not by the definition of "root"

2) Wait for Google to officially announce it.

+ to make this comment a little more on topic, there's been speculation that honeycomb might have minimum hardware requirements like dual core and 512mb ram, the only one vega doesn't have is the 1280x800 screen resolution although I remember seeing another post on Engadget from official sources saying that honeycomb wont have any minimum requirements.

Curious. To me, the only defintion of root is logged on as root or other super user access. I've heard people say this before but when you install either of the Advent stock ROMs, install super user and terminal SU, super user will ask if terminal can use su and you get the # prompt? What am I missing???

Yeah but it doesn't come with root access.

As far as I know, superuser installs the su binary itself, which is easy when it has /system access (like the Vega does I believe).

I could be wrong though
