Guest Matthew Ferguson Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) Below is a link to a working update.zip for the ZTE Blade, to flash the new Honeycomb (3.0) leaked music app, with the Jumpertest app. Remember to do a Nandroid backup beforehand. App is still in early development so there's a lot of glitches. Credit goes to Grandtheftman on XDA for getting a working zip for our devices. As you can see from the screenshots below it's got a very similar feel to the gallery app installed on all our phones, and is similar to the previews of Honeycomb for tablets seen on the Motorola Xoom tablet earlier this week at CES: THIS WILL ONLY WORK ON A BLADE RUNNING 2.2 (Froyo) . I've only tried it on Flibblesan's rom, so I can't promise anything for the Modaco 2.2 rom, Seb's rom. It also comes with a JumperTest music streaming app, but I haven't used that yet. Credit goes to Factro for screenshots 6, 7 and 8. Known Issues 1. Name of song playing doesn't play in notification bar correctly 2. Name of artist/song isn't central in the box list. 3. Occasional Force-closes. Please post any more issues you find so I can add them to the list. :D UPDATE: Factro says it works on Japanese Jellyfish. UPDATE 2: Screenshots attached to this post http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6MXPWVWL A word on the poll - since many of you seem to be voting for "3rd party/market/other", perhaps you could post what app you do use? I tried bTunes, but wasn't a fan. Edited January 13, 2011 by Matthew Ferguson
Guest That-Guy Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Thanks will give it a try on Seb's 2.2 ROM :D
Guest Xenon0816 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Screenshot maybe? I like to know what I flash beforehand...
Guest Victor von Zeppelin Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Exactly. As much as this sounds awesome, I'm a tad dubious.
Guest Matthew Ferguson Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) Sure thing. Gimme 10 and I'll upload some screenshots. UPDATE: Screenshots attached in first post Edited January 12, 2011 by Matthew Ferguson

Guest Teasy Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 What's so good about this music app?
Guest Matthew Ferguson Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 What's so good about this music app? It's generally more visually appealing than the stock app that comes with froyo, and has a few more visual features that some users may enjoy. It integrates the same with android as the current app does (as it's by google) and I thought I'd upload an update.zip so other people can try it out.
Guest SWOriginal Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 No last.fm scrobbling support yet :D
Guest Matthew Ferguson Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 No last.fm scrobbling support yet :D It's still in very early development, so I guess you can cross your fingers! However, with the JumperTest app it's seeming likely Google will be unwilling to support Last.fm, as they want their own music streaming service.

Guest steviem Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 The most interesting part of this is in "Music Settings" :D
Guest steviem Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 (edited) *hmm, not sure why this double posted. But the reason it's interesting is because of the 'Stream Music' option... Edited January 13, 2011 by steviem
Guest lixcab Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Cool! That looks amazing! Do we any known issues? Maybe we can add in first post. Thanks a lot! I'll definitely try this later.
Guest factro Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 No last.fm scrobbling support yet :D really?,.,its workin for me// use last.fm apps and add that in Accounts & sync and it should work
Guest onkel2k Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Hi It doesn't work for me on Japanese Jellyfish RLS6. When I try to open the App I just get one second a black screen and after that the App exits (no force close). Some weird problem happens after the flash for me: sync isn't stopping. I can neither stop it nor deactivate it. Thanks for your efforts. Boris
Guest skoo Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Does it have an Equalizer? I'm stuck using the ugly looking PowerAMP Music Player since it's the only music player with an Equalizer... Can't try it out for myself right now since I'm not at home and doesn't have the USB-cable with me.
Guest reluctant_traveller Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Anyone use foobar2000? would be sweet to have that customisation on an android app.
Guest steff.jay Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 could anybody make a screenshot of the widget? :D
Guest reluctant_traveller Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 could anybody make a screenshot of the widget? :D Looks the same as the standard music player widget Track name - Play/pause - next track

Boris Hmm, I'm currently on FLB Froyo G2 R6, so I can't comment for JJ RLS6, but another poster confirmed it worked on RLS6, have you checked the file wasn't corrupted during download?
