Guest Terrigno Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 :D Ill be honest, I do love 2.2. I just feel as if I want to downgrade back to AT&T Stock 1.6 so I can get the update pushed from them whenever. Plus this thing is draining the battery like crazy and if I tried to do a factory restart, I know the phone would lock up and get stuck at the Dell Logo like it did before. So I know things arent right with it since I do all the rom flashing and everything to get it to 2.2. I tried to go through that 2.2 to 2.1, then 2.1 to 1.6 O2 then back to 6601 1.6 AT&T and it was extremely complicated. Can I go straight from 2.2 to 1.6? I just want to know if its possible to flash the 2.2 Rom Im on now, straight to the OEM 1.6 ROM that was on the Streak with AT&T? If so, can anyone point me to the easiest tutorial? I can do the fastboot and everything. Appreciate it guys.
Guest Roperband Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 When exactly is the AT&T update supposed to drop?
Guest Terrigno Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 When exactly is the AT&T update supposed to drop? Its supposed to this month. Some say yesterday it was supposed to drop. Im pretty sure it will drop soon. But I think Id rather stick with the official AT&T ROM. Hopefully it will be somewhat different then the O2 ROM.
Guest PainCorp Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 don't you think if you could that all the guides would have you just do that and not go through all the steps?
Guest jiggajosh Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 don't you think if you could that all the guides would have you just do that and not go through all the steps? +1 they didn't make it conplicated on purpose
Guest Terrigno Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 +1 they didn't make it conplicated on purpose Yeah, someone said it was the old way and the QDL tool lets you jump right to the ROM you need to without doing all the step work. Not sure if its true, but someone confirmend it was a Pocketables forums.
Guest jnovello Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) There is no definite date as to when AT&T plans to update to 2.2, but it was confirmed by Dell to be mid-January. Who really knows.... the x10 was in line to get it and now it's been dropped all together. Anyway, at one point my Streak rebooted out of no where and would not boot past the logo. I just dropped in stock 1.6 recovery and flashed the stock rom for 1.6 from Steve's 2.2. I couldn't live with it so I went to O2 2.2 and then Steve's again. Edited January 14, 2011 by jnovello
Guest fards Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 You're getting confused between references to 1.6 stock and 1.6.0 streakdroid, not helped by lazy people that refer to steves 1.6.0 as 1.6

As I said I went from Steve's 2.2 to STOCK 1.6>O2 2.2> Steve's 2.2 after a hanging random reboot. ....by the way AT&T OTA rumored to be delayed today again by a few more weeks at least.
