sim card unlock

hi all i came across giff gaff today, not a bad deal its pay as you go, with lots of bundles available, what caught my eye was £10 for unlimited text and internet + 250 mins, which tops tmobile :D and it runs off 02 so the signal will be better aswell B)

so my question is does any1 know of those sim card attachments which makes ur phone unlocked but not actually unlocked? as in it will only work when a sim card with this attachment is in the holder, otherwise it remains locked to tmobile?

im sure i heard something about it on deal extreme, could anyone link me? :P
