It means that the mails of the last for days a available on the phone locally without an internet connection. For older mails you will have to be connected, if not you will see a message below the synced mail saying "no connection" (or something like that) Regarding the mails you can't see on the phone, you should check if the data connection is online and then click menu / refresh Cheers, blade Edited January 13, 2011 by blade2011

Guest rufree2talk Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Number of days to sync: 4 days 4 days is not the sync frequency, rather it is the number of days in the past till which it will sync your emails from the Gmail server. You do realise that the mails are literally downloaded to your device so that you can see them even when you are offline. To make sure it doesn't fill your device's memory with the million mails you might have on your Gmail account, it gives you a default option of syncing uptil 4 days in the past. Give the phone a few more mins and it shall get the mail. I am not sure where the settings are for the sync frequency, but I think this is a Push and not a Pull service and should be almost instant. In my case the phone is never more than a min behind the computer. Even the computer at times is behind, and I have click on the Inbox link to actually see the mail.
