Guest Aboulos Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Hi All, I have got the Advent Vega running with Paul's ROM R6. When I play videos (local or streamed) through HDMI on a HD Screen, I get a long delay (about 2-3 secs and appears to increase) of the video behind the audio. At first I thought it was related to the flash-player issue, so I uninstalled the flash player. Regardless, as the problem persists even when played using the standard android video player or doubletwist. As soon as I unplug the HDMI cable, the video races to catch up again with the audio. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, any ideas of a fix?
Guest yabbas Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Well, I'm glad to hear that audio is being output through hdmi as I cant get any audio out on my telly ;) [And I get intermittent green flashes onscreen.]
Guest AndyCr15 Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I noticed this when playing a YouTube video to my HD TV. Kinda makes the HDMI pointless... ;)
Guest Aboulos Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I noticed this when playing a YouTube video to my HD TV. Kinda makes the HDMI pointless... ;) I get it when I play pretty much any video (mp4, iplayer, youtube, flash, etc...). Would be interesting to know if this a limitation of Froyo or of the Advent Vega itself?
Guest Mogedwards Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 I watched the Christmas episode of Misfits off Youtube and it was perfect until the last ten minutes of a 45 min prog. In the last ten mins I did get the lag. By stopping and starting the playback, I was able to reduce the lag to an acceptable time. I have had a similar thing happen when watching BBC iPlayer on my Sony Freesat TV and the Vega is not used there.
