Guest karamit Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 This i900v is making me quite frustrated. It currently has Vodafone firmware, and I am attempting to flash it with OCK's firmware, but neither of my XP's or Win7 see it with GrandPrix. The phone syncs flawlessly in either OS with MS Active Sync , (XP) or MS Device Central (Win7), but in GrandPrix the phone keeps jumping between: OnDeviceChange: DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL PDA Device not found. OnDeviceChange: DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL PDA Device not found. OnDeviceChange: DBT_DEVICEARRIVAL PDA Device not found. I found one post in this forum that show's how to switch it to PDA mode from PHONE mode with *#7284#, but it errors on "You cannot switch to PDA while the USB cable is plugged in", even though the USB cable is NOT plugged in. I have also tried flashing the phone with the Singapore firmware, but I do not have Singapore in the list of Countries when I try to change the region, so that fails as well. Any clues? I want to get this Vodafone crap off!!
Guest sis651 Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 Did you installed Samsung Modem Driver XP? If you didn't install it to XP and try again. If you did, reinstall and try again. Else I do not have an idea now.
Guest asmanao Posted January 13, 2011 Report Posted January 13, 2011 read here http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...00-omnia-phone/
Guest karamit Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Got it! I went ballistic on it, and did the " *#7284# -> PDA -> OK " immediately nine times in a row, and it finally switched to PDA from Phone and stayed like that. Grandprix immediately picked it up and allowed me to flash. This firmware is much funner! Thanks!
