Guest hamsatuk Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 Hi I have just bought a ZTE Blade Orange version and am very pleased but am having problems trying to do the following. I have downloaded various apps from various web sites and want to get these on to my phone. I have loaded the USB drivers and when I connect the phone via the data lead supplied with the phone I am able to view the contents of the memory card. What I would like to know is the best and easiest way to get the apps I have on my computer on to my phone. Do I need to create any new folders on the memory card and where does this folder have to be created. Once loaded on to the phone how do I get them to work? Also is there any software for my computer that will allow me to communicate with the phone. I hope I have put this question in the correct group and you will be able to help me as this is all new to me. Thanks
Guest lixcab Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 I put the APK file in the Root folder of the SD Card and just open the file with the phone. Works all the time! ;) Just make sure you tick(un-tick?) option in Applications to allow installation of files not from Market.
Guest Barcrawler Posted January 14, 2011 Report Posted January 14, 2011 (edited) Drag and drop the apk onto the root of your phones sd card then use Filer app located in app drawer to locate your apk file, press it to install, once installed you can delete the apk from the sd card.
